a drawing I did for my fiancee for his birthday. got there 4 days late Ahura Mazda is known for the god of goodness in the zorostarian religion. my fiancee is zorostarian.
cool stuff to know about the symbolism in this drawing and the figure of ahura mazda (which are some intresting things I got to learn about it while doing this drawing: -the three phrases written under the figure are in old persian and mean "good thoughts, good words, good deeds" (don't ask me which is which because I have no clue XD) -the wings feather rows (which are supposed to be three but I only knew that after I finished it, I appogize if I had cause any offence to anyone) mean the three things that I meantioned above which will get you closer to goodness while the three rows on the tail are the bad things (bad thoughts, bad words, bad deeds) which will bring you farther from him. -the two twirly things on the side mean that you have the freedom of choice, you can either choose the one that's in front of him (goodness) of the one on his back (evil) -the ring on his waist means infinity, (what goes arround comes arround, reincarnation,.. etc) -his hands are in gold color because he is the bringer of light, symbolising the color of the sun rays at dawn. -one of his hands is lift up meaning that you have to work hard to live. - the ring in the other hand symbolises commitment.
another cool thing about zorostarian religion that it forbids working in politics, lawyer, and trading, because it involves stealing and lying (isn't it soooooo damn true? )
the reference picture for ahura mazda is from a picture for a fire temple from google I used a reference for the grape from google, while the beautiful flowers refernces from DA are as follows: the flower to the upper left is [link] by the flower to the lower right is [link] by the flower to the lower left is [link] by

I'm not exactly sure who it is... but if it's a god I can frankly say that I'm done with drawing gods.. this was one stressing work to do, because of him being a god a such.....
well... I know the name ahriman, but thanks for the other one... honestly... I had to ask my persian bf at the time to get some proper resources for ahura mazda.. and I love to learn but it's sad that you cannot get much about non-symestic religions unless you were some sort of a native....
but you look like you've done quite alot of reading about non-symestic religions!
ok then if you don't want to draw
